Klay Thompson: WSU's Most Accomplished Pro Athlete

Early Career and College Success

Klay Thompson, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound shooting guard, hails from Golden State Warriors. Selected 11th overall in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft, Thompson quickly established himself as a dynamic scorer.

Before his NBA career, Thompson made a name for himself at Washington State University (WSU). As a sophomore, he averaged 19.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, significantly improving his freshman-year stats. His phenomenal play earned him a place among WSU's all-time leaders in 3-point field goals made (242).

NBA Stardom and Accomplishments

Thompson's NBA career has been marked by several milestones. He has helped the Golden State Warriors win three NBA championships and was named an NBA All-Star five times. His shooting prowess has also earned him the nickname "Splash Brother" alongside teammate Stephen Curry.

Thompson holds the record for the most 3-pointers made in a single NBA Finals game (11) and is ranked third all-time on the Warriors' scoring list. His exceptional shooting skills and contributions to the team's success solidify his status as one of the greatest WSU pro athletes in history.
