Manchester City Injury Update: De Bruyne, Haaland, Stones, Walker Latest

Pep Guardiola provides an update on the fitness of his squad ahead of Arsenal clash

City handed triple boost with Stones, Walker, and Haaland returning

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has provided an update on the fitness of his squad ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola confirmed that John Stones and Kyle Walker will miss the game through injury, while Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland are both doubts. However, the City boss did receive some positive news with the return of Stones, Walker, and Haaland to training this week.

"John and Kyle are out," Guardiola told reporters at his pre-match press conference. "Kevin and Erling are doubts. They trained yesterday, but we will see today how they feel and if they are ready for tomorrow."

The return of Stones and Walker is a major boost for City, as both players have been key members of Guardiola's team this season. Stones has started 20 Premier League games this season, while Walker has started 18.

Haaland, meanwhile, has been in sensational form since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, scoring 29 goals in all competitions. De Bruyne has also been a key player for City this season, providing 13 assists in the Premier League.

If De Bruyne and Haaland are both ruled out of the Arsenal game, it would be a major blow for City. However, Guardiola will be confident that his team can still get the job done without their two star players.
