Allan McGregor Signs New Rangers Contract

40-Year-Old Goalkeeper to Continue at Ibrox

McGregor's Future Uncertain After Current Contract Expires

Allan McGregor, the veteran Scottish goalkeeper, has signed a new one-year contract with Rangers. The 40-year-old is in his second spell at Ibrox after returning in 2018 and has been a key player for the club since then.

McGregor's new contract will keep him at Rangers until the end of the 2023/24 season. It is unclear what his plans are beyond that, but he has said that he will make a decision about his future after the current campaign.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with Rangers," McGregor said. "I've loved my time at the club so far and I'm looking forward to continuing to play my part in the team's success."

Rangers manager Michael Beale is also pleased to have McGregor on board for another year.

"Allan is a fantastic goalkeeper and a great professional," Beale said. "He's a leader on and off the pitch and I'm delighted that he's committed his future to Rangers."

McGregor has made over 500 appearances for Rangers in two spells at the club. He has won 13 major trophies with the Gers, including five Scottish Premiership titles and four Scottish Cups.
