Cycling Legend Anna van der Breggen to Make Shock Return to the Peloton
Three-Time World Champion to Join SD Worx-Protime in 2025
Former professional road bicycle racer Anna van der Breggen has announced her sensational return to the peloton in 2025. The 32-year-old Dutch legend, who retired in 2021 after a remarkable career, will join the SD Worx-Protime team at the start of next year.
Van der Breggen, born on 18 April 1990, was one of the most dominant cyclists in the world during her ten-year professional career. She won three elite world road race titles (2018, 2020, 2021), as well as two Olympic medals (silver in 2016 and gold in 2021). She also won numerous stage races, including the Giro d'Italia Donne (2015, 2017, 2020) and the Tour de France Femmes (2022).
Van der Breggen's return to the peloton has shocked the cycling world and is sure to shake up the competition. She remains one of the most talented and experienced riders in the sport, and her presence on the start line will be a major threat to her rivals.
