Shooting in Calgary's Kensington Area Sees Bullet Breach Bodega Restaurant Wall
Update: Suspect Arrested After Shooting in Kensington Area
Calgary Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting in the Kensington area on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of 10 Street N.W. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and seeing a man fleeing the scene on foot.
Upon arrival, police located a bullet hole in the wall of the Bodega restaurant. No injuries were reported.
Through the course of their investigation, police identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. The suspect was taken into custody without incident on Friday, February 3, 2023.
The suspect is facing charges of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, February 6, 2023.
