A New Offense for Tennessee??
Quarterback
Hendon Hooker has become a huge playmaker for the Tennessee Volunteers this past season because of his ability to make plays with his legs and arm. Hooker comes into the 2023 season as one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC entering his final year of eligibility. With his NFL departure, former five-star recruit Tayven Jackson and Nico Iamaleava are battling it out for the backup position.
Running Back
Jabari Small is expected to be the feature back for the Vols in 2023 after a 1000-yard season last year. Jaylen Wright has been impressive during the spring and brings a different skill set than Small.
Wide Receiver
Cedric Tillman is the clear-cut number one wide receiver after a breakout year in 2021. Bru McCoy transferred from USC and is expected to play a big role in the offense in 2023. Jalin Hyatt surprised many last season with a huge year and is expected to help take the top off defenses once again.
Tight End
Princeton Fant is the most experienced tight end on the roster and will be counted on to be a big target for Hooker this season. Jacob Warren has quietly had a good spring as well.
Offensive Line
The Tennessee offensive line is expected to be one of the best in the SEC in 2023. Darnell Wright is one of the best tackles in the country and will anchor the offensive line once again. Jeremiah Crawford is shifting to guard alongside Cooper Mays.
